We understand that healing is not linear and that every step forward—no matter how small—matters. If you are ready to take a step toward greater balance, clarity, and fulfillment, we are here to support you. Together, we will work to build resilience, self-understanding, and the skills you need to move forward with confidence.
We provide in office counselling services, but to make therapy more accessible, we also offer virtual counselling through a secure, encrypted video platform directly within our online booking system. Virtual counselling provides a flexible and convenient option for individual, couples, or family sessions, and can even accommodate family members joining from different locations.
Payment & Policies
At Valour Counselling, we deeply value the trust you place in us as your mental health provider. Our commitment is to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that meets your needs, supports your growth, and helps you and your family thrive.
Payment
Payments are due at the time of the appointment unless prior arrangements with third parties have been made with our Accounts Team. A valid credit card is required to be kept on file unless other arrangements are made in advance.
Direct Billing to Blue Cross
We are pleased to offer direct billing to Blue Cross. The third-party billing authorization form must be completed before your first session for which direct billing is requested. A valid credit card is required to be kept on file even if Blue Cross is billed directly, ensuring that any co-pay or balance remaining can be processed if coverage is exhausted.
Note: We are unable to bill directly to secondary insurance providers. In these cases, your credit card will be charged, and a detailed receipt will be provided for reimbursement.
Extended Health Benefits
Coverage depends on your health insurance provider and employee benefit plan. Services may be listed under Registered Counselling Therapist, Registered Clinical Therapist, or Psychotherapist. We are only able to bill directly to Blue Cross. Please verify with your provider how your plan reimburses these services.
Cancellation Policy
We require 24 business hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This allows us to offer the time to another client and ensures your therapist’s time is respected.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed appointments will be charged the full hourly rate. Fees must be settled before booking further sessions.
Cancellations are accepted via email to your therapist or at info@valourcounselling.com. Phone or voicemail cancellations are not accepted, ensuring a clear written record.
